Our Story
How did our private early childhood education centres come into being?
How did our private early childhood education centres come into being?
BRAINS NURSERY SCHOOLS was founded in 1979 in Avda. de los Toreros (Madrid) by its sole founder Manuel Sánchez Gutiérrez, creating an educational institution called BRAINS.
Manuel Sánchez was a visionary in education and always believed that the infant stage was the basis for success in future stages. He believed in the importance of early stimulation, based on children’s happiness, as an essential element to encourage motivation and a taste for learning.
He was also a pioneer in understanding the importance of learning English at an early age, so he created an educational project with the aim of preparing pupils for a globalised world where languages would make a difference, but always following his motto ‘a Spanish school with bilingual pupils’.
After the death of its founder in 2004, the BRAINS educational institution was divided into different centres which are managed independently.
Since 2011, BRAINS NURSERY SCHOOLS has developed its own identity by creating exclusive and specialised spaces, keeping intact the essence of the project initiated by its founder Manuel Sánchez.

Since our origins, our aim has always been to be among the best nursery schools by establishing innovative educational methods. For this reason, the BNS teaching model has evolved, incorporating multilingualism into our methodology from the age of 0 to guarantee auditory development and thus enhance the ease of language learning at later ages.
Since the 2010-2011 academic year, our English teaching methodology has been objectively assessed by an external, official and internationally recognised organisation such as Trinity College of London, guaranteeing that all our students enrolled achieve an A1 level at the end of the infant stage.
We are the first and only school to submit all our pupils to these prestigious tests.
We are committed to each and every one of the children who enter our nurseries in order to give them the best possible education. For this reason, we decided to expand our BNS educational model, developing a pioneering programme of ‘Guidance to Primary’ thanks to which the psycho-pedagogical department guides families in order to choose the best centre for continuity in later stages, based on the abilities and particular development of each child throughout their years of schooling in our schools.
This allows us to offer our pupils continuity in the best schools in the Community of Madrid.
In 2019, the team at BRAINS NURSERY SCHOOLS has completely remodelled its facilities in La Moraleja, adapting them to new educational trends and family needs. Thus creating a multidisciplinary space that allows all our families to enjoy it, thereby promoting personal and work reconciliation of families. This is how Qbic La Moraleja was born.
